The Speech and Language Therapy program is designed for children and adolescents who have communication difficulties including speech, language, voice, fluency, hearing, cognitive-communication disorders.  It is an individualized intervention that includes: 1) assessments, where a licenced speech and language pathologist conducts evaluations to determines the individual’s goals; 2) a customized intervention and 3) an ongoing evaluations to monitor progression towards mastery of the client’s goals.

It is designed on a one-to-one basis in the home-based, community or centre-based location.  This program is offered in 6 week blocks - Each session of one hour in duration. 

Upon request, our Speech and Language Therapy program can be developed with close consultation and monitoring from one or more professionals of our multidisciplinary team, including our Behavior Analysts, certified teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists. 


The Speech and Language Program can develop skills in:

  • speech
  • language
  • voice
  • fluency -speed of talking
  • cognitive-communication disorders
  • Comprehension or receptive language difficulty  (understanding what is said)
  •  Expressive language (difficulty putting a sentence together)
  • Phonological or articulation problem (not understood easily, even though he/she can talk in full sentences)
  • Stuttering
  • Chronically hoarse voice or lose their voice
  • Ability to communicate verbally
  • Oral Motor Skills
  • Augmentative or alternative means of communication
